Research Interests

"Most people would rather die than think; in fact they do so." Bertrand Russell

I am interested in mathematics that are related to physics, geometry, and symmetry, especially those that are both conceptually high and technically simple.

The Kepler problem, despite its deceptively simple appearance, is remarkably rich in mathematics. One of the most important lessons I learnt over the years is that there is always more to be discovered. It is my belief that some of the new mathematical insights into the Kepler problem could have significant implications for our understanding of fundamental physics.

Longterm Research Project I: Kepler Problem

"Think deeply of simple things." Arnold Ross

The project is centered around the exploration of the intricate mathematics that lie beneath the Kepler problem. The aim is not only to uncover the beauty of the mathematics behind the Kepler problem, but also to contemplate the potential implications of our mathematical findings to fundamental physics.

Longterm Research Project II: Geometric Foundation of Physics

"God always geometrizes." Plato

It is my belief that one of the most fascinating and intellectually stimulating challenge for mathematicians lies in the task of organizing fundamental physics in a way that is concise, elegant, and logically coherent. At present, we have a collection of disparate theories and concepts that are scattered throughout the field, with some pieces being inaccurate or even incorrect. It is akin to a partially completed jigsaw puzzle game, where many pieces have been put in place, but some do not fit well.

The goal of this project is to understand the geometric foundation of physics as much as possible. My current primary concern is gravity-related.
